VERTICAL FIBER CLOTH MEDIA FILTER

Vertical Fiber Cloth Media Filter, which was developed by Inch Enviro Technologies, is a new advanced fiber cloth media filtration technology of optimized design, high efficiency, cost saving, small footprint, excellent performance with easy operation & maintenance.

It is specially used for tertiary filtration or suspended solids (SS) removal of wastewater, and also the retrofits of the old sand filters due to its smaller footprint when with same capacity. The effluent water quality can achieve as good as 5mg/l to satisfy the discharge standard requirements.

This technology was awarded as” 11th Five-year National S&T Promotion Achievement “by the government for its outstanding performance.

Working Principle

TECF Vertical Fiber Cloth Media Filter mainly consists of a tank, filter packs, travelling backwash crane, tubes and influent & effluent channels. Each piece of filter pack is a standard-sized square frame covered with fiber cloths. The travelling backwash system is driven by a motor  and works without stopping filtration. The filtration system generally includes 2 processes:

Filtration-The wastewater flows into the tank and goes through the fiber cloths by pressure. The filtered water in the filter packs flows out of the tank from the tubes amounted at the bottom of the tank.

Backwash-During filtration, the suspended solids deposits on the surface of the fiber cloths and gradually form a mat that causes the filtration rate slows down and the water level arises. When the water level reaches the predetermined liquid level, the travelling backwash crane is initiated. The solids are removed and the backwash water is pumped out.

1) Special Fiber Cloths Make Higher Performance

Techase offer varieties of options for special fiber cloths as filtration media of our filters. We provide SS removal filters with filter cloths for customization according to different water quality.

The fiber cloths applied in the vertical filters are of good stability, higher strength, perfect corrosion resistance and longer service life, which eliminates much replacement and saves significant cost.

The clearance of the filter cloth is far smaller than the size of the floc, and  most of the suspended solids can be filtrated out.

The fiber of the filter cloth open in the water catching a great amount of floc, reducing the filtration load of the filter cloth.

2) Making Full Use of the Tank Space, Reducing Footprint

The special parallel vertical placement of the filter packs makes the tank been fully used and doubles the filtration areas. When using a filter tank of same size, the filtration area is 8-10 times of other types of filters and much footprint is reduced.

3) Continuous Filtration

Vertical Fiber Cloth Media Filter enables continuous filtration. The 2 working processes Filtration and Backwash can take place at the same time.

4) Simple Pratical Backwash Device

The backwash device of Vertical Fiber Cloth Media Filter is a traveling crane driven by a pump, with suctions tubes tightly sticking on the surface of the fiber cloths.
